INTERACTIVE SPRAY CHALK MURALS
Spray chalk is a semi-permanent pigmented chalk paint that lasts several months on pavement and asphalt.
Jardine began using spray chalk to paint large murals on public sidewalks and streets in 2017. She has since created numerous interactive spray chalk murals at Art Loops and other community events in Northwest Ohio. The themes of her murals use floral and natural elements, which bring life to gray sidewalks and city streets. She also has created event-specific murals, including a Solar Eclipse mural for Imagination Station at Promenade Park.
Participants are invited to add to the murals with sidewalk chalk, a medium most children and adults are familiar with. After the event, the spray chalk portion of the mural remains for several months, until it fades away from rain or foot traffic.
